The first room we checked in smelled horribly of weed and it was supposed to be a non smoking room. Went to the office and they gave us a new room within two minutes without a fuss. The new room was great except for the fact that the door doesn't shut all the way so you have to push/pull it close every time. A big safety hazard for those with kids and pets. So make sure to check your doors if you choose this hotel.
The front desk staff is extremely helpful. The breakfast is great. For the cost per night I think it's fantastic.
Walked in the room ...114...and already regretted decision to stay. The carpet was super stained and dirty, the popcorn ceiling was hanging loose in 3 spots above bed, and the bathroom is a story by itself. Behind the door was what appeared to be large dried boogers on the wall and something that looked like blood. The ceiling had mold or mildew everywhere. The stopped was missing in tub, so couldn't take bath, only a shower. Room had 2 queen beds...so sleep 4 people...there were 3 of us....but only had linens for 2. I tore bed apart to search for bed bugs, but gave the all clear there. There wasn't anything "super" about this place.
This was the nastiest hotel room I've ever had the displeasure of stepping into, then immediately stepped out of. Blood stains on the carpet, what appeared to be urine stains on BOTH comforters and a smell that stuck to us after only being in the room a total of 30 seconds! And the man at the front desk had the audacity to suggest that we messed this room up! My advice to anybody looking for a room in Oxford would be DON'T stay here.
I kept thinking that there were more than likely families there were families trying to escape a catastrophe in Florida (Irma) and had to stay here because nothing else was available and my heart just breaks for them. I can't imagine someone having to expose their children to such a disgusting environment. Escaping one nightmare just to have to endure another one.
I have never written a review in my life, but tonight I just couldn't lay my head down to go to sleep tonight without warning people about this place.
Highly recommend if you like a non smoking room that wreaks of cigarettes, a shower that won’t get hot or for that matter even come out of the shower head. The toilet wouldn’t flush. The bed spread was riddled with burn holes. Mold and mildew on the walls. Insects actually in the bedding. When we complained the response was that I could change rooms, on another floor at that. Was charged $220.00 a night for a 39.00 room. I’m 55 years old and have traveled and stayed all over the US but this was without question the worst hotel experience ever. I’m disputing the charge on my Visa.
If I could take away the one star I gave it, I would. I wish there were a negative star option. They claim to be pet friendly, but I wouldn't even let my dog stay in this room. It absolutely baffles me that this circle of hell is even still operating.
