My time at Oxford High School so far has been a great experience! This is a great school with teachers that care about the individual student and their learning experience, rather than a number to define them. The staff is alway friendly and welcoming, and all the coaches at the school are great not only as coaches, but people as well. If you are looking for a welcoming and great place to go to school, then this is a great place!
This school only care about their self looking good they make students tuck in their shirts in unbelievable weather, there are very racist kids and teachers that go to this school which is overlooked by administrators until it goes viral this school is overall a bad school there are so many blind spots and hidden areas which aren’t being used anymore where I personally witnessed kids going there to screw and do drugs and I cannot count how many lockdowns we’ve had due to numerous intrusions..if you want your child to experience an college experience LITERALLY this is the school for them baby
oxford is an amazing school, and we do get paddled but i'm glad somebody steps up and does it. if these disrespectful kids don't get any type of punishment they'll never learn. And this school isn't ran by "A whole bunch of rednecks". how bout yall come down to oxford and you'll see how a top school is ran, we strive for perfection and we accomplish that every year thanks to our principle and staff.
This school system is THE reason I am moving my family out of Oxford. The school board and adminstration only care about image and branding over education. I have witnessed discrimination, racism promoted by officials, and an overall atmosphere of bullying. I almost had to sue to get my child into an academic program that was OFFERED as part of the curricula, because she was repeatedly denied access. Thank goodness my children are no longer in Oxford City School system, it was a horrible experience k-12, with the exception of a few great teachers. The test scores may look good on paper but to anyone considering moving here I would advise against putting your child in Oxford High School. They have so much pride in Oxford, yet they forget pride is a deadly sin, because that's all they see, a brand.
